Puff pastry Salmon Strudel

Discover the enchanting taste of puff pastry and smoked salmon strudel and make it a timeless addition to your New Year’s Eve treat.
Ingredients:
- 1 puff pastry
- 4.6 oz smoked salmon
- 1 onion
- 1 package of frozen spinach (you can also use steamed baby spinach or Swiss chard)
- 4.6 oz of cheese
- 1/4 cup cream
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 egg
- butter, olive oil
- salt
- ground pepper
- Sesame seeds (if you like them)
Instructions:
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
- Heat a knob of butter with a bit of olive oil in a saucepan.
- Add the finely chopped onion, followed by the spinach.
- Let the mixture settle ultimately, and keep stirring; it takes 15 – 20 min.
- Then add the garlic, salt, and pepper, and let it cook again for 5 minutes.
- Finally, add cream and cheese.
- Allow the prepared spinach mixture to cool well.
- Then, place pieces of smoked salmon on the puff pastry and add the spinach mixture.
- Wrap the strudel tightly and brush with egg (you can also sprinkle with sesame seeds).
- Bake in an oven heated to 400°F until golden.
