Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1/4 cup of cane sugar
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 1 large egg yolk
- 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of ground almonds
- ½ teaspoon of baking powder
- ½ teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
Method
- Place the maple syrup, cane sugar, oil, cinnamon, salt, and egg yolk in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment and blend until combined.
- Add the flour, ground almonds, baking powder, and baking soda, and mix until you have a soft dough.
- Put the dough in the fridge and chill it for about an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 320°F and line the trays with baking paper.
- Make walnut-sized balls from the dough and roll them in powdered sugar.
- Spread the crinkles on baking sheets and bake for 10-14 minutes until they crackle.
- Allow to cool completely at room temperature and enjoy!
