Manchester Christmas Markets

Manchester Advent Markets are iconic, with over 300 stalls spread across the city. Vendors offer a wide variety of handmade products and traditional Christmas treats.

This year, markets will be held on nine streets: King Street West, St Ann’s Square, Exchange Street, New Cathedral Street, Exchange Square, Corn Exchange, Cathedral Gardens, Market Street, and Piccadilly Gardens.

What can you look forward to?

• diverse range of stalls, where you will find a rich selection of gifts from artisans from all over the world – from jewelery and ceramics to luxury Christmas decorations and handmade candles
• gourmet experiences in the form of local and international specialties such as traditional English pies, bratwurst, French cheeses, Belgian waffles and hot cider
• magical atmosphere created by, among other things, festive lights, decorations and Christmas tunes
• for a varied program and entertainment for children and adults, including carousels, an ice rink and Christmas workshops; there will also be an opportunity to meet Santa Claus, to whom you can entrust your Christmas wishes
• Manchester Christmas Parade, a traditional parade full of Christmas masks, dancing and singing

Skating at Skate Manchester Ice Rink

Manchester is preparing, for skating lovers, the indoor skating rink Skate Manchester, which can be found on Cathedral Gardens Street. Whether it’s snowing or raining, you can enjoy a magical time on the illuminated ice to the sound of holiday music. The ice rink will be open from 8 November 2024 to 1 January 2025.

Manchester Christmas Parade 

A very popular parade will take place in the city, bringing a real festive atmosphere and Christmas mood to the streets. You can enjoy the sight of smiling people in masks, but you can also join the parade yourself. Live music will accompany the parade throughout.
