Tortila Chips Canapés

Apart from using tortillas to make wraps, you can also make crunchy and healthy chips by cutting them into triangles and baking them in the oven.

You can even adorn these chips with your preferred mixture to create unique and healthy canapés for New Year’s Eve.

Check out the instructions below to learn how to make them.

Ingredients:

  • tortilla chips, which you prepare either from a purchased tortilla or make the dough at home

Ingredients for the mixture:

  • ½ cup chopped small tomatoes
  • half a medium sliced red onion
  • half a medium chopped red pepper or capsicum
  • depending on taste and tolerance, you can add half a chopped pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • thick Greek yogurt or sour cream for topping

Preparation process:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread the tortilla chips on a greased baking sheet and leave in the oven for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Now, prepare the mixture. Mix the small tomatoes, onions, peppers, and chili peppers in a bowl, add salt or ground pepper and olive oil, and mix. You can add lime or lemon juice to taste.
  4. Leave the mixture in the fridge for 1-2 hours to set.
  5. When the chips are ready, garnish with the mixture and yogurt and serve.
