Nut and Lemon Christmas cookies

Nuts should be included in the Christmas kitchen. Pair them with zesty lemon and sweet sugar for a delicious flavor!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon lemon peel (can also be dried)
- 4 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
- 1 egg for brushing
- ground walnuts for sprinkling
Method
- Sift the flour and powdered sugar and put everything in a bowl.
- Add chopped, softened butter, egg yolks, lemon zest, and juice, and process everything into a smooth dough.
- Cover the bowl with cling film and place the dough in the fridge to rest for about 2 hours.
- Roll out the dough on a floured roll, cut out various favorite shapes, brush them with beaten egg, sprinkle with nuts, and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Place the prepared cookies in a preheated oven and bake at 320°F until pink.
- Leave to cool for a while after baking. Bon Appetite!
