Homemade Bavarian pretzels

If you love Bavarian pretzels and want to try making them home, this recipe is perfect for you!
These pretzels are delicious and can be served alone or with soup, making them an excellent option for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- 8 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 and 1/4 cups milk
- 1 packet of yeast
- 3 and 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 and 1/4 cups water
- 3 tablespoons of baking soda
- Coarse salt, cumin, poppy seeds, or other seeds for sprinkling
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, crumble the yeast into lukewarm milk and add a pinch of sugar. Let the yeast form.
- Mix the flour, salt, and crumbled butter in another mixing bowl until a crumb is formed.
- Add the yeast and milk mixture to the flour mixture. Mix until a pliable dough is formed.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into about ten pieces. Roll each piece into a roll, then shape it into a pretzel.
- Let the pretzels rise on a baking sheet for at least 20 minutes before baking. Make sure to leave enough space for them on the sheet.
- In a pot, bring water and baking soda to a boil.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Soak the pretzels in the hot water and baking soda for about 30 seconds, then immediately put them back on the baking sheet lined with paper.
- Sprinkle coarse salt, cumin, poppy seeds, or other seeds on the pretzels.
- Bake the pretzels for 20-25 minutes until they have a beautiful color.
