Whole grain Cookies with poppy seed

Do you prefer whole-grain products?
If so, try these poppy seeds made from whole grain spelled flour.
Even though they are sugar-free, you can’t tell at all, and they taste divine.
Ingredients for this ground poppy seed cake
- 1 cup of whole-grain spelt flour
- 1/2 cup of ground poppy seeds
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 eggs
- 4 heaping tablespoons of honey
- pinch of salt
- dried fruit for garnish (cherries are ideal, but use fruit as per your preference)
Method:
- In a bowl, combine ground poppy seeds, spelled flour, honey, a pinch of salt, eggs, and softened or melted butter.
- Use a wooden spoon to make a smooth dough and let it rest for 30 minutes to set.
- Then, take equal-sized pieces of dough and shape them into balls. Transfer them to a sheet of baking paper, make a hole in them with a wooden spoon, or cut them crosswise with a knife.
- Fill the hole created with dried fruit.
- Place the filled tray in an oven preheated to 350°F and bake for approximately 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the size of the holes and the type of oven.
