Looking to prepare some healthy canapés for New Year’s Eve?

Why not try making whole-grain sandwiches with smoked salmon? It’s a simple and quick recipe that you can adjust based on how many people you’ll be serving.

So go ahead and give it a try!

Ingredients:

  • 10 whole wheat baguettes
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 cup of processed cheese
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 7 oz smoked salmon
  • for seasoning, a pinch of salt, ground pepper, and a few drops of lemon juice

Recipe procedure:

  1. Cut a whole wheat baguette into slices.
  2. Prepare the spread in a bowl. Mash the avocado and melted cheese with a fork. Season to taste.
  3. Spread the spread on the wholemeal baguette slices.
  4. Place a slice of salmon on top of each canapé and drizzle with lemon juice.
