Looking to prepare some healthy canapés for New Year’s Eve?
Why not try making whole-grain sandwiches with smoked salmon? It’s a simple and quick recipe that you can adjust based on how many people you’ll be serving.
So go ahead and give it a try!
Ingredients:
- 10 whole wheat baguettes
- 2 avocados
- 1 cup of processed cheese
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 7 oz smoked salmon
- for seasoning, a pinch of salt, ground pepper, and a few drops of lemon juice
Recipe procedure:
- Cut a whole wheat baguette into slices.
- Prepare the spread in a bowl. Mash the avocado and melted cheese with a fork. Season to taste.
- Spread the spread on the wholemeal baguette slices.
- Place a slice of salmon on top of each canapé and drizzle with lemon juice.
