Whether you prefer straight or twisted crescents depends only on your personal preferences. Their size can also be different.
Ingredients:
Dough
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 2 cups ground walnuts
- 4 egg whites
Chocolate Whipped Cream
- 1 cup of butter
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
Glaze
- 1/2 cup of baking chocolate
- 1/4 cup of butter
Method:
- Heat the egg whites and powdered sugar in a water bath and stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Then, beat the mixture with a hand whisk until stiff snow.
- Allow the snow to cool, stirring in the finely ground nuts.
- Fill a decorative bag with the resulting dough and spray the walnut rolls on a baking sheet.
- Place in an oven preheated to 302°F and bake for about 20 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the chocolate whipped cream.
- Mix sugar, milk, and cocoa over steam and leave to cool.
- Gradually stir the mixture into the softened butter and mix until creamy.
- Put it in a decorative bag and store it in the fridge for a while; it will be easier to work with the cream.
- Then, spray the cream onto the cooled dough using a decorating bag.
- Put the crescents to harden in the fridge.
- Prepare the frosting simply by melting the cooking chocolate and butter.
- At the end, dip the walnut crescents in the glaze and let them harden well.
