Walnut Christmas Crescents

Buttery, melt-in-your-mouth nutty cookies are easy to make and taste divine. Sprinkled with powdered sugar, they are an ideal treat for the Christmas tree.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup ground walnuts
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons vanilla sugar (for sprinkling)
- 4 tablespoons powdered sugar (for sprinkling)
Method
- Combine the sifted flour, sifted icing sugar, and ground walnuts in a large bowl. Add the vanilla extract and mix.
- Grate the cooled butter and add to the bowl.
- Mix all the ingredients by hand until you have a dough. It will take about 2-3 minutes.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix the extra powdered sugar with the vanilla sugar in a medium bowl and set aside for later.
- Take a piece of dough, roll it into a ball, then shape it into a sausage shape, finally shape it into a crescent, and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F for about 8 minutes.
- When finished, let them cool slightly, then carefully pour them into a bowl with mixed sugar and carefully coat them in sugar.
