Traditional filled Izidor cupcakes

One of the tastiest candies that should definitely not be missing from your Christmas table. Try this proven version!
Ingredients:
Cupcakes
- 400 g plain flour
- 200 g of sugar
- 250 g of butter
- 150 g ground walnuts
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
- zest and juice of one lemon
- a pinch of ground cinnamon
Nut filling
- 300 g ground walnuts
- 100 g of powdered sugar
- 100 ml of rum
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar
- currant jam
Chocolate cream
- 300 g of butter
- 150 g of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar
Chocolate topping
- 200 g of cooking chocolate
- 100 g of butter
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 170°C.
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the cupcakes – sifted flour, sugar, melted butter, eggs, ground nuts, cocoa powder, lemon zest and juice, and ground cinnamon.
- Work thoroughly into the dough and then fill the cupcake tins with it.
- Place in the oven and bake until golden brown for approximately 10-15 minutes.
- Leave the baked cupcakes to cool completely.
- Meanwhile, mix ground nuts with sugar, rum and vanilla for the nut filling.
- Then spread each cupcake with currant jam and use a garnish or a coffee spoon to apply the walnut filling.
- The third step is to prepare the cream, which you prepare by beating eggs with sugar, butter and cocoa.
- Fill the decoration with the cream and apply the cream to the cookies.
- Put it in the fridge to solidify for a while.
- Apply the chocolate cream to the cookies also with the help of a decoration and let it harden in the fridge.
- Then prepare the frosting by melting the chocolate in the butter, lightly dip the cupcakes in it and put it back in the refrigerator.
