Sugar coating for gingerbread cookies

The consistency of the gingerbread icing is very soft, so it is suitable for small decorations, such as edging cookies or painting faces or details on gingerbread houses.
Ingredients
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 4-5 teaspoons of water
- 4 teaspoons of corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Method
- Mix sugar and water in a bowl.
- Add corn syrup and mix until all ingredients are combined.
- Then stir in the lemon juice.
- You can use the gingerbread icing as is, or you can divide it into several bowls and color each one with a different food coloring.
- The topping should be used immediately. But if you need to keep it for later, cover it with food foil so that it touches the frosting. Then put the covered frosting in an airtight container. This way you can store the frosting for up to 3 days.
