Stuffed Walnuts

Stuffed walnut-shaped cookies are also very popular Christmas cookies in Europe, especially among children. The nuts are a buttery nut-based cookie – two nut-shaped cookie halves are filled with a delicious creamy center.
Luxurious versions are dipped in chocolate.
You will need:
Dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cup of butter
- 1 egg
Stuffing:
- 1/2 cup ground walnuts
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 egg
Preparation process:
- Sift the flour and mix together with the butter and egg.
- Form the dough and put it in the fridge for at least one hour.
- Preheat your oven to 356 degrees.
- Prepare the stuffing – mix all the ingredients together.
- Then, roll out a sheet about 0.2 inches thick from the dough and cut out squares so they match your nut mold.
- Put the nuts in the oven and let them bake until pink.
- Fill the nuts with the filling.
- While they are still warm, roll them in sifted powdered sugar.
- Store in a cool, dark place.
