Caramel Frosting

What will you need?

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 5 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of hot water

Method:

  • Brush the egg whites with icing sugar and lemon juice.
  • Pour the granulated sugar into a saucepan and cook caramel from it, then add water and bring to a boil; this will prevent lumps from forming in the caramel.
  • Leave to cool, and then add the caramel to the egg-white mixture and mix. The caramel frosting is ready to use.
