Pecan Crescents Cookies with Vanilla
7. 10. 2025
This simple, original, perhaps slightly unconventional recipe for walnut crescents is perfect for celebrating Christmas. The best part is that you can replace the pecans with almonds, for example, and you will have a completely different cookie. And if you’re looking for something quick and effortless, try our no-bake cookies.
Ingredients
- ½ pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter at room temperature
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar for coating
- A bag of vanilla sugar
Method
- Beat in the sugar, vanilla extract, and softened butter.
- Next, add the chopped pecans and flour and beat until combined.
- Divide the dough into equal-sized pieces and shape into half-moon shapes.
- Bake at 350°F for about 12 minutes or until the bottoms of the rolls are lightly browned.
- Then let them cool for about 5 minutes and roll them while still warm in a mixture of vanilla and powdered sugar. Allow the candy to cool completely and roll again in powdered sugar.
