Peanut candy with salted caramel

You can use hazelnuts, peanut butter, or flour when baking for Christmas, as in this recipe.
Ingredients:
Dough
- 1 and 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup cane sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Filling
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Method:
- First, prepare the filling.
- Combine the peanut butter and powdered sugar in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Shape into small balls and place in the freezer.
- Using a food processor, beat the peanut butter, butter, and sugars until fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla and mix until combined.
- Finally, add flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Scoop a heaping tablespoon of the dough, place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, and flatten it into a circle.
- Top with a dollop of frozen peanut butter.
- Wrap the edges of the dough around the ball and press the edges together to seal.
- Roll the filled peanut cookies in granulated sugar and place them back on the baking sheet.
- Preheat the oven to 356°F and bake for approximately 12-15 minutes until golden.
