Pastry Cannoli with Chocolate

Leave a cannoli for Santa this year!
These Christmas Cannoli are a fun way to mix up the traditional Christmas cookie plate.
While homemade cannolis definitely take some time and patience, they’re actually quite easy to make once you get the hang of it.
You will need:
Dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup ground walnuts
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 spoon of cocoa
- 1 whole egg
- 1 egg yolk
Cream:
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1 spoon of sugar
- 1 vanilla pod
- 3 egg yolks
Preparation process:
- First, prepare the cookie molds – tubes.
- Start with the nuts – finely grind the required amount and let the butter stand at room temperature.
- From all the ingredients for the dough, create a classic Christmas dense dough, which you put in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
- Then roll it out and cut it into slices, which you roll into molds.
- Bake at 356 degrees until golden brown.
- Allow the finished tubes to cool completely.
- Meanwhile, prepare the cream.
- Prepare a water bath in which you put the egg yolks, cream, grains from the vanilla pod and sugar.
- Beat the mixture and let it cool.
- Then gradually beat the butter – until foamy.
- Fill the tubes with the finished cream and dip their edges in chocolate.
- Store in the refrigerator.
