Marzipan meringues

This recipe allows you to enjoy a wonderful combination of hazelnuts, marzipan, and ground almonds.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup of marzipan
- 1/3 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 egg white
- 1/4 cup plain flour
- handful ground almonds
- handful of hazelnuts
- 2 tablespoons of cane sugar
- 2 tablespoons of whipping cream
- chocolate topping
- confectionery decoration
Method
- Prepare a pan and dry-fry the chopped hazelnuts in it. Add sugar to them and let them caramelize.
- Add cream and a little water (as needed) and make a smooth mixture. As soon as the mixture is formed, pour it onto a greased baking sheet and spread it over the entire surface.
- Wait for the mixture to harden, and then chop it into small pieces. Grate the marzipan into a bowl, add flour with icing sugar, ground almonds, egg white, and the chopped mixture with hazelnuts.
- Process all the ingredients into a smooth dough. Then, take equal-sized pieces and shape them into small balls.
- Place the balls on a tray lined with baking paper and place in an oven preheated to 360°C.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes. Leave the baked meringues to cool for a while, then cover them with chocolate glaze and add sugar decorations.
- Pearls, flowers, chocolate decorations, etc. are suitable. Then you just have to wait until the frosting hardens and you can consume it.
