Instantly soft Christmas gingerbread cookies

Don’t want to wait for your gingerbread to soften? Then try our quick and easy recipe!

Ingredients

  • 500 g plain flour
  • 200 g of powdered sugar
  • 100 g butter (at room temperature)
  • 2 spoons of cocoa
  • 5 spoons of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of soda
  • ¼ baking powder for gingerbread
  • gingerbread spices

Method

  • Sift flour with sugar, soda, gingerbread powder and cocoa.
  • Add all the other ingredients and make a stiff dough.
  • Put the dough in the fridge overnight and let it rest.
  • The next day, take the dough out of the fridge, at least 1 hour before you start baking.
  • Roll out the prepared dough into a 3-4 mm thick sheet and cut out your favorite shapes.
  • Place the cut shapes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  • Bake at 180°C.
  • As soon as the gingerbreads start to brown around the edges, take them out.
  • Your soft Christmas gingerbread cookies are ready!
