Hazelnut Sticks

If you prefer not to shape the dough into crescents, you can simply make sticks instead. This is easier and results in the same taste!

Ingredients:

Dough

  • 1 cup ground hazelnuts
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs

Cream

  • 1 cup of whipping cream
  • 1 cup dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder

Glaze

  • 1 cup of cooking chocolate
  • 1/2 cup of butter

Method:

  1. Beat the eggs with the icing sugar until foamy.
  2. Add ground hazelnuts and mix.
  3. Line the tray with baking paper.
  4. Using a cookie cutter, spray the bars.
  5. Place in an oven preheated to 302°F and bake for approximately 20 minutes.
  6. While the bars are cooling, make the chocolate whipped cream.
  7. Boil the whipping cream with sugar and dark chocolate in a saucepan.
  8. Allow to cool, and then whisk together with the softened butter.
  9. Spray the cream on the sticks with a pastry bag and let it cool in the fridge.
  10. At the end, decorate the Parisian bar with a coating made from cooking chocolate and butter.
