Gingerbread Cream Cupcakes

Stuffed cupcakes are among the favorite Christmas sweets.

Some will prefer classic nuts, and others will prefer fruit cupcakes.

Try the cupcakes, which are filled with delicious gingerbread cream.

You will need:

Dough:

  • 1 cup of softened butter
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • lemon peel

Cream:

  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup of grated gingerbread
  • 1/4 cup of walnuts
  • 1 spoon of cocoa

Preparation process:

  • Sift the flour with the icing sugar.
  • Add the other loose ingredients and mix.
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the loose mixture and form a dense dough. Refrigerate overnight, and the dough will rest.
  • The next day, take the dough out of the fridge at least half an hour before the planned processing.
  • Fill the dough into the cupcake molds – the size of the cupcakes depends on you.
  • Bake at a temperature of 338 degrees until the edges turn pink.
  • Carefully remove the finished cupcakes from the mold and let them cool completely.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the cream.
  • First, grind the nuts; grate them fine if you buy whole gingerbread.
  • Rub the butter with the sugar and gradually add the rest of the ingredients.
  • Using a pastry bag, start filling the cupcakes with the cream.
  • Finally, you can cover them with chocolate or lightly sprinkle them with chopped nuts or almonds.
  • Store in the refrigerator.
