Christmas cookies don’t always have to be in the shape of wheels, stars, or rolls. Not only children will love these Christmas reindeer.
Ingredients:
Dough
- 1 and 1/2 cups plain flour
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Decoration
- halves of pretzels for antlers
- lentils or other red candies for noses
- candy eyes or chocolate chip eyes
- chocolate topping
Method:
- In a food processor, beat the peanut butter, regular butter, and sugar until fluffy.
- Then mix in the eggs and vanilla extract.
- Mix the sifted plain flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Gradually add this mixture to the peanut butter until thoroughly combined.
- Roll the resulting dough into balls approximately two centimeters in size and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Flatten the balls and press slightly in the middle to shape the peanut candy into a reindeer head.
- Finally, press the pretzels to make the antlers.
- Preheat the oven to 356°F and bake for 10 minutes until golden.
- Allow to cool, and then draw a mouth with chocolate frosting. Use the frosting to “glue” the eyes and nose.
