Crispy Nut Crescent Cookies with cream

These Crispy Nut Crescent Cookies are originated in Europe. They are Czech, Hungarian, Austrian, German, Slovak, etc., so they have many Central and Eastern European country origins!
Some countries have similar versions with different nuts. Hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts. All of them seem to be used in crescent cookies!
And why not try them with pecans, too?
You will need:
Dough:
- 1 cup of butter
- 1 1/2 cup semi-coarse flour
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup ground nuts
- 1 teaspoon of Dutch cocoa
Cream:
- butter – depends on the number of rolls
- powdered sugar – to taste
- cocoa
Preparation process:
- First, preheat the oven to 338 degrees.
- Mix all the ingredients for the dough and make a thick dough.
- Place the finished dough in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
- Prepare molds to start filling the dough.
- Bake for about 11 minutes – until the edges start to turn pink.
- Leave to cool, then carefully tap the rolls out of the molds.
- Prepare the cream.
- Beat butter with sugar and cocoa until foamy.
- Spray the cream on the cooled roll and cover with the other roll.
- You can decorate the filled rolls prepared in this way with white or dark chocolate.
