Christmas peanuts in sugar

A very original candy can be hazelnuts wrapped in vanilla and cinnamon.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups freshly shelled peanuts
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 302°F and cover the trays with baking paper.
- Add the sugar and water to a saucepan and heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the peanuts, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the peanuts are completely coated in the sugar and spice mixture and no liquid remains at the bottom of the pot.
- Remove from the heat and transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet.
- Spread the peanuts in as even a layer as possible.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes.
- Stir at least once during baking.
After baking, let the peanut candy cool and store it in an airtight container.
