Christmas cookies with lard

This lard cookie recipe doesn’t require many ingredients, and the cookies are instantly pliable.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup of lard
- 34/ cup of all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup of powdered sugar
- 4 spoons of cocoa
- Baking Chocolate
- Nuts or candied fruit for decoration
Method:
- First, mix the loose ingredients – i.e., flour, sugar, and cocoa.
- Add room temperature lard to the mixture.
- Process the soft dough and then form balls about 1.2 inches in diameter.
- Prepare baking paper on a baking sheet and place the lard balls on it.
- Make a hole in each with your finger and bake in a preheated oven at 248°F for about 15 minutes (cakes are dried rather than baked).
- Fill baked lard cakes with chocolate melted in a water bath and decorate with almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, or candied fruit.
You can decorate them with marmalade, chocolate, or nuts or leave them alone. They are excellent on their own!
