Chocolate Wallnut Tart

These cupcakes with walnut, caramel, and chocolate are simply irresistible.
The mini cakes are packed with rich flavors and sweetness that will satisfy your cravings in an instant.
Ingredients
For a cupcake
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons ground walnuts
- 1 egg
- 2 spoons of sugar
- pinch of salt
For filling
- 6 spoons of sugar
- 1 cup roasted walnuts, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 egg yolks mixed with 5 spoons of sugar
For the frosting
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
Method
- In a food processor, add flour, sugar, salt and butter.
- Work the butter into the flour until crumbly.
- Add the eggs and mix until the dough is homogeneous.
- Wrap the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle and cut out small circles to fit into the cupcake tins.
- Prick the bottom of the cupcake with a fork.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until lightly golden.
- Mix the egg yolks with the sugar.
- Heat the sugar until it turns golden brown. Immediately add the walnuts and butter and mix well.
- After the butter has melted, remove from the heat and stir in the yolk mixture.
- Return to the stove and stir constantly until thickened.
- Remove from the heat and continue to mix for a few minutes before filling the cupcakes.
- To make the chocolate frosting, melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, stir in the butter and 1 tablespoon heavy cream until well combined.
- Immediately pour over the caramel filling with nuts.
