Chocolate Coconut Balls

Coconut balls don’t have to be white. Try them in this unconventional dark variant, too. You will like it.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup vanilla wafers (waffles with vanilla cream)
- 1 cup dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup unpeeled natural almonds
- coconut flour
- grated coconut for coating
Method:
- Blend the vanilla wafers in a food processor.
- Melt the chocolate in a water bath.
- Mix the crushed wafers with the melted chocolate and mix thoroughly.
- Add a small amount of coconut flour if the mixture is too thin.
- Place the mixture in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, scald the almonds with boiling water and peel them.
- Then, remove the mixture from the fridge and use a spoon to remove a piece.
- Lightly flour your hands in coconut flour to shape the balls better.
- Place the almonds in the mixture and roll into a ball in the palms of your hands.
- Finally, wrap the coconut ball in grated coconut.
Store balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer. The balls are delicious when kept in cold place.
