Carp baked with apples and horseradish

Ingredients needed:

  • 1 kg of fresh carp
  • Salt
  • 100 g horseradish
  • 250 g of apples
  • 1 lemon
  • 60 g breadcrumbs
  • 100 g of solidified shortening

Method:

  • Cut the carp into portions, wash, salt and place in a container, then put the peeled and sliced apples mixed with the grated horseradish.
  • Drizzle it with lemon juice and put it in the fridge for 5 hours.
  • Melt the fat in a pan, remove individual portions of carp from the container, coat in breadcrumbs and bake on both sides in the pan.
  • Towards the end, add the horseradish to the pan with the apples and juice where the carp was previously pickled and let it finish cooking together.
  • Serve with boiled potatoes. Layer horseradish with apples on top of the carp on the plate.
